Poem written by Stephanie Danforth
Fists balled up wanting to explode
Harnessing positive energy with no where to go
Reaching for the top not knowing what to hold
Grasping at possibilities trying to grab the gold
Exploring new horizons, letting go of the old
Passing the baton and relaying what we’ve been told
We go through new doors but we must close the old.
Do not cover your eyes but strive to be bold.
Continue to wipe the tears from your eyes and don’t be sold.
Your dreams are within reach, when you get there, don’t let go.
